Data Loading for HCM Cloud

We’re on Day5 of OracleHCM Cloud / PartnerNetwork training. Working on dataload techniques.

The “T” in ETL is a clean slate and we can use any method of Transformation we want.

Erasing all of that PLSQL/API knowledge from my mind should free up half of my brain cells!

More importantly, this also means clients can use their existing IT staff to do this work or hire a junior programmer and save some $$.

AnDav Consulting, Inc. has been nominated by Oracle practice leadership and is confirmed to attend the HCM Cloud Implementation Workshop for Partners, next week, March 14th through the 18th!

  • Oracle HCM Global HR & Talent Cloud Overview
  • Global HR Setup
  • Using Fusion Functional Setup Manager
  • Building and Defining your Workforce Structure
  • Manage Workforce Lifecycle

  • Profiles

Oracle® Compensation Workbench: No Customizations

The first compensation cycle for our client’s Oracle® Compensation Workbench implementation is complete!

We’re very happy with the results, considering this was a global roll-out with no customizations.

No customizations are an important factor here.  We’ll ultimately implement some changes with the Custom Look and Feel (CLAF) administrator to align and change the number formatting of some columns, but all of the rules and calculations were implemented using “Dynamic Columns”.

The setup included 123 conditions, messages, and calculations to enforce business rules and determine proper compensation amounts.

My next post will detail some of the Dynamic Column definitions used.

“Using dynamic columns, you can configure unique worksheet columns to display calculated values, fixed values or messages based on defined conditions” – Oracle® Human Resources Management Systems Compensation and Benefits Management Guide

Fun stuff!!

Manager Feedback on Compensation Planning Tool

February 10, 2016, Cambridge, Mass.

Here is some real live manager feedback from our recent implementation of Oracle Compensation Workbench!

This is our initial go-live with no customization to the Look and Feel of the pages.  Next year we’ll roll out more functionality and improve the end user experience, but so far no major complaints!

“Very easy and comprehensive – the best tool I have ever worked with! (at previous companies, much of this was Excel based, and required a lot of emails back and forth – not so good, also not because of data privacy). ” – Manager, Netherlands Business Group
